Surgical Procedures:

Here at the Atlanta Ambulatory Surgery Center we perform various surgical procedures that fall under one of three specializations:

• Bariatric or Weight Loss Surgery, which includes gastric banding, gastric sleeve and gastric plication.
• Minimally Invasive Surgery, which includes gall bladder removal, thyroid surgery, breast surgery and hernia repair.
• Cosmetic Surgery, including body and breast lifts, tummy tucks and breast augmentations.

In each case, these procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. This means that the patient will be admitted into our surgery center early in the morning and will be able to return home, assuming there are no complications, by late afternoon.

All of the procedures perform at the Atlanta Ambulatory Surgery Center are laparoscopic, meaning that rather than the traditional open surgeries of the past which required additional recovery time and larger incisions, we employ minimally invasive techniques to minimize scarring and reduce recovery time after surgery. Further, the cost of surgery performed in a surgical center such as ours can often be much lower than a traditional hospital environment.

While our goal is to allow our patients to return home as soon as possible, we do not compromise their safety and strictly enforce our observation and oversight times for each and every surgery.
